Search Engine Optimization For Landscapers – How To Attract Corporate And Private Accounts

by Author on Mar.05, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

A well-crafted SEO campaign is the foundation of effective online marketing. For landscapers, marketing through search engine optimization is the lever that drives qualified leads to your website. By placing your site in front of motivated prospects, you can dramatically build your list of corporate and private accounts without hemorrhaging your advertising budget.

Online Marketing For Landscapers Generates Valuable Exposure

Our team of SEO experts specializes in performance-driven internet marketing. For landscapers who want to aggressively promote their services online, we can design a search engine optimization campaign that gives you high-impact exposure to your local market. Whether you’re providing mowing and planting services, gutter maintenance, installation of irrigation systems, or erosion control, we can deliver the visibility you need to build your client base. Online exposure to local markets is critical for landscapers. Marketing that leverages a tightly honed search engine optimization campaign will generate much better results than traditional advertising channels. And it will do so at a far lower cost.

How SEO For Landscapers Expands Your Client Account Base

A decade ago, most people found landscaping contractors by looking in the Yellow Pages or asking for referrals. Today, they use the search engines to find local landscapers. Marketing through SEO turns your website into a lead generation machine. Your site will automatically attract prospects who are proactively searching for your services. This is far more effective than promoting your landscaping business to those who are not motivated to take action. By carefully blending search engine optimization and internet marketing for landscapers, our SEO specialists can push your website into the top positions of Google, Yahoo, and Bing. As a result, you’ll attract more leads, and acquire more clients. As your account base grows, so will your monthly revenue.

Core Principles Of Internet Marketing For Landscapers

The most effective approach to online marketing for landscapers is to generate targeted exposure within your community. It is not enough to simply place your website in front of people. You must position it in front of the people who are most likely to need your services. This is one of the unique advantages of using search engine optimization. For landscapers, marketing their mowing, seeding, grading, mulch, and trimming services is most effective when these services are presented to motivated prospects. Rather than pushing your company onto people who may not need your services, an SEO campaign allows clients to find you. This is why SEO for landscapers can produce far better results than conventional advertising.

Search Engine Optimization – Tips For Your Business Website

by Author on Mar.05, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Most companies with a web presence do not make much money online. Instead, they make their money through word of mouth or print or television advertising. Alot of companies do not spend the time and effort on Search Engine Optimization. There are many reasons for this. One reason is because they do not have the time and money to spend on SEO work. The second reason, in many cases, is because they have paid a Search Engine Optimization company only to get little or no results.

I will teach you just some of the steps to a successful Search Engine Optimization strategy. One thing to always remember, organic SEO takes time. Google can rank you within a week for an easy keyphrase or many months for a tougher keyword but once you are ranked number 1 it should be smooth sailing and all you really need to worry about is maintaining your position.

Ok, so where exactly should you start? Let’s say you own a car wash company in Houston, Texas. What some SEO companies will do is target the key phrase “car wash.” That is the wrong way to to do keyword research because the term is too broad. Even if somehow you ranked on page one for the term “car wash” then you are still competing with 49 other states that are searching for that term. Once they click on your site and see that you are located in Houston they will click away. Regardless, the term is so competitive that you may never rank for that key phrase to begin with.

Instead it would be beneficial to you to try to rank for a local keyphrase. An example would be “Houston car wash”. Keyword research should take up the bulk of your time when it comes to SEO. Scope out the competition and see what they’re doing. Check to see who links to their sites and see if you could request that those sites link back to you. The reason you want sites linking back to you is because Google also looks at backlinks in determining how important your site is. Each link to your site is considered a vote in Google’s eyes, especially backlinks from reputable websites.

One of the main things to work on is your actual page content. Try to use text and not images for your navigation. Also, try not to use too much javascript. While your page should look appealing, also try to keep your source code as clean as possible. This is why I recommend tabless CSS. Tabless CSS is much cleaner than if you had your site built with tables. Most important when optimizing your website is to have a lot of relevant content and to update your site once in a while, maybe once a month or once every couple of months.

There are many other factors that will help get you ranked higher on Google. These are just some of the most important and basic factors. Once you master these then you can research some more and get more advanced.

SEO – The Real Truth About Search Engine Optimization In Internet Marketing

by Author on Mar.05, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search Engine Optimization is an online marketing method which develops or increases traffic for a website by improving its ranking in search engine exposure. In general, the more your site is placed in the higher rankings, the better chance of generating more traffic to your site. SEO is free, unlike SEMs, which have to do with paying companies for rankings and leads – this would be an inconsistent and inefficient way to try and build a business, and you’ll be spending a continuous amount – not the opposite way, building a residual income! It’s what you put in that rewards you in a greater amount later, not how much you spend.

As a strategy for online marketing, SEO takes into account what people are searching for and how search engines work. In technical terms, website optimizing mainly involves updating information; through HTML and coding to relevant key words, it allows the site to be indexed by search engine activities. For SEO to become successful, it usually requires modifications to the site’s HTML source code. SEO tactics may also be included in the functionality and design of the website. Menus, documents, music, images, video… these are just some aspects of a site that can be coded to optimize search engine traffic. Here are some tips to consider for Search Engine Optimization:
Keyword Research Spend time brainstorming about what your customers would be searching for if they’re looking for something your business can provide. Choose keywords that will drive the most relevant traffic of customers to your site. Keep your keywords organized on a spreadsheet for future reference, and update the list as often as possible.
Quality Writing Effective writing providing relevant, credible information on a consistent basis, along with the use of keywords, is absolutely necessary for success in SEO. Relevant news provided through blogs, articles and press releases is a useful way to draw more exposure to your business.
Adaptive Website Maintenance Having the best, efficient and most functional website in the world would be completely useless if customers can’t even find it. Be able to adapt to changes in the industry; be open to make changes on your site that will maximize chances of building residual income. Make your website search-engine-friendly.
Having Credible, Quality Incoming Links The number of active websites is enormous and continues to grow exponentially each day. Capitalize on this situation by providing links to your site on other legitimate sites relevant to your business. This helps maintain credibility and shows the customer that they can trust in your business. Using paid services usually referred to as “link farms” will publish your link on thousands of sites – this will actually cause Google and other search engines to avoid trafficking your site and sometimes ban your site all together!
As you can see, Search Engine Optimization tactics – when used correctly – are truly a necessity when trying to create a legitimate and lucrative internet business. By following these simple tips you’ll be on your way to building residual income today!

SEO Tips – Can You Quantify A Page Rank?

by Author on Mar.05, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Let’s just get right down to brass tacks. Can you quantify a page rank? In other words, can you go to the SERPs, look at the first 10 sites on page one, and quantify exactly why each site is in the position it’s in? Some folks say yes. I say no. And I’m going to explain why, in no uncertain terms, in this article. I think you will find this very interesting.

I was doing some searching the other day, just for the heck of it. Every now and then I like to see what’s out there. Anyway, I did a search for some off the beaten track niche and took a look at the site that came up number one in the SERPs. It was number one on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and just about every search engine I looked at.

I took a very good, hard, long look at this site. I checked PR. I checked backlinks. I looked at the content of the site. I looked to see how long it was around. I looked to see what keywords it was ranking for and which ones were contained in the domain name, if any. What I found was so astonishing that my jaw dropped to the floor after doing my analysis. Here are some of the low points.

The site had 9 backlinks. The site had a PR of 0. The site had one keyword in its domain name that was fairly relevant, even though it was also ranking for other keywords NOT in its domain name. The site had only one page of content that was so-so to say the least. I will say this much. The on page SEO was excellent. Every outbound link had proper anchor text. The site was only a few months old.

What was surprising about this number one ranking was that the site behind it had more backlinks, more pages, a higher PR and more content. The only thing it didn’t have was a good domain name. It had no keywords in it. Could it be that a domain name carried that much weight?

But then I did other searches in other niches and found that sites with poorly chosen domain names were outranking other sites with good domain names. Digging deeper, I discovered one or two things about the top site that beat out the sites behind it…but they were always different.

Okay, here’s my point and I hope, if nothing else, you get this. There is absolutely NO way to quantify a search engine listing. Some will totally baffle you. Think of the keyword “click here” and how if you look it up, you will find Adobe is the top site…one that doesn’t have the words click here anywhere on the site itself. I won’t go into the reasons for this here but suffice it to say, it’s because of what OTHER sites do and NOTHING to do with what Adobe does.

There are way too many variables to SEO to be able to quantify what will make a site rank well or not. So your best course of action is to concentrate on ALL areas of SEO…on page AND off page. By doing everything possible to improve the ranking of your site, you will GIVE that site the best chance of succeeding.
To YOUR Success,
